2001- Half A Microsecond Of Fame
because of the successful original flucht track on mp3.com cymotec attracted the attention of the canadian label
inception records. with upcoming bands like flesh field, god module and lost signal
they were maybe one of the most promising labels (together with gashed records) back those days.
you can read what inception records had to say about cymotec by using the
internet waybackmachine.
overall this time had its ups and downs. on one hand it was nice to see people enjoy what i have created. on the other side
it was absolutely disillusioning to see that even in a small independent scene the music business is completely focussed on
stupid money and getting your ego petted.
the Remixes
the funny thing about the two remixes i have done is the fact that they are more cymotec tracks with guest vocals
than anything else. i dropped the original music and built complete new songs around the original vocals. i also used to
add my own vocals during a break.
The Music
stendal blast- abgesang (koyotentanz remix)
this great track was released on the "wave gotik treffen 2002" compilation with about 15.000 copies. unfortunately the
track isn't marked as a remix done by me on the cover. the remix was also featured on a club promotion disc for the
stendal blast album fette beute. i ticked this off as yet another bad experience.
again i never got a copy of both discs.
when ya get drafted (dead kennedys cover)
published on resist the command vol.2 from dystopian records. unfortunately this label went out of business later.
labels with a strong vision and credibility like this one had are badly needed in our stale scene.
project-x- humanity (mensch an der tankstelle remix)
you can find this remix on the closing down the systems album from project-x or in a different version on
resist the command vol.2 from dystopian records.
flucht v.2
my first officially released track. in the states flucht v2 was released on the counterbalance compilation on
inception records and in europe on the love & death compilation from trisol.
i never got copies of the comps from both labels. ever heard that artists have to buy their own music? that's what the
music biz is like.
and why the hell do people always think this is a wumpscut remix? except for the title there are no similarities at all.
